Etobicoke ultimate frisbee
About Us
Dedicated to developing young athletes and fostering healthy competitiveness through supportive coaching.
Our Mission
At Etobicoke Ultimate, our mission is simple: to empower local youth through the joy of sport. We provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive community where every athlete—whether training to be an elite competitor or playing just for fun—feels valued, encouraged, and inspired.
Driven by the "Spirit of the Game"
Ultimate frisbee is unique because it relies on mutual respect and sportsmanship. We place healthy competition and integrity at the heart of everything we do. Through our programs, athletes don't just learn a game—they build lifelong teamwork skills, mental resilience, personal confidence, and physical literacy.
meet our founder
Marc Magraken
Founder & Executive Director
Marc’s passion for ultimate frisbee took root in the 90s, when he was first introduced to the game while attending the University of Denver. He played competitively well into his 30s before hanging up his cleats to coach his oldest daughter’s competitive soccer team—another sport he deeply loves.
Ultimate frisbee soon became a family legacy. Marc’s oldest daughter fell in love with the sport through her school programs. She went on to win City, Provincial, and National Championships with her high school, and currently plays at the University of Guelph.
When Marc looked for youth ultimate frisbee programs for his younger kids, he discovered a major gap: nothing existed locally in the Etobicoke area.
Armed with over a decade of youth coaching experience and a decades-long love for the game, Marc founded Etobicoke Ultimate Frisbee. His mission is to bring this incredible sport to local youth—teaching healthy competitiveness, inclusivity, and sportsmanship, while building physical literacy, coordination, and confidence in our community.
